    PETIT MACHINS ET CHINCHILLA PRESENT:

    'END OF TOUR PARTY' with:

    DAS BOTON (USA)
    COWTOWN
    CISSY

FUNDER STRIKES / CISSYTAGTEAM / CHINCHILLA DJs
    THE LIBRARY PUB
    SATURDAY 18th APRIL
    8:30PM - 2:00PM
    £5.00

DAS BOTON http://www.myspace.com/dasboton (Chicago - Six Gun Lover Records)
DAS BOTON is Billy Dolan, Ryan Rapsys and Karl Ropp. Billy played guitar in ace legendary Sub Pop Records bands FIVE STYLE and HEROIC DOSES in the 1990s, alongside John Herndon (TORTOISE), Leroy Bach, Jeremy Jacobsen (EUPHONE, THE LONESOME ORGANIST) and Nick Macri (EUPHONE). If you've not heard these bands you need to educate yo'self right now yo!! They only recorded some of the best records ever released on Sub Pop, in my opinion.

Billy Dolan's style is unique. He plays like a post-punk Hendrix, with a sound and style that has influenced most of the people I've ever met who play guitar. Ryan Rapsys also played drums in EUPHONE and HEROIC DOSES and played all the instruments on Euphone's first two eps "Breaking Parole" and "Euphone". He also just happens to be one of the best drummers you will ever see. Das Boton plays instrumental, angular, fluid and organic post-punk rock songs, with an emphasis on old-fashioned good fun!!

This will be Das Boton's first tour in the UK and Europe and the first time Billy has ever visited UK shores.

    COWTOWNhttp://www.myspace.com/cowtownsuperstars
Little introduction needed I fear, suffice to say that Cowtown are even better than they've ever been, with a whole set of new songs that show how good they've really become at writing ace tunes. Expect exciting Deerhoof / Devo inspired rock songs, with tons of charm and energy. Try not to put Cowtown in your mouth without chewing!!!

    CISSY http://www.myspace.com/cissysound
A bunch of excitable party people from Leeds, some of whom have played in bands such as The Dragon Rapide, The Lapse, Beards and Origami. Polyrhythmic, raucous, electrotastic elastic art-pop songs from the death-beds of Fela Kuti, James White, Captain Beefheart, Minutemen, The Meters and Talking Heads.

DAS BOTON and CISSY have recorded songs for a split album, to be released on SIX GUN LOVER RECORDS (www.sixgunlover.com) in 2009.

Post-bands there will be DJs and partying until 2am, so help us end our tour with a bang!!

What a bloody shafter! We just spent 8 hours today driving from Verona to Lyon and even after that comparatively short journey a gig cancellation would've made me have a breakdown. We'll still be away for this so all I can do is bump; have a cracker.

these guys have the most static upper bodies ever, combined with the most elastic lower bodies ever. good moves! i only chatted with ryan briefly but i get the impression he is a total dude and he likes boozing. good news.

I think Saturday night proved that Ryan Rapsys is a) a total dude b) likes boozing. Getting up to catch a taxi to Leeds train station for 8am after all that vodka = MACHINE.

    On behalf of Ryan:

Did anyone pick up a green Levi's denim jacket after the gig on Saturday? It belongs to Ryan and he is very sad to have lost it. No questions asked if it was picked up by mistake (or left at 53!), please can you PM me for its safe return. Thanks.
