We’re putting on a gig this Wednesday 9th for the excellent French band Crevecouer - www.myspace.com/wearecrevecoeur - who play a cello, a violin, a trumpet, a drumkit and a couple of guitars to make music that reminds me of Godspeed! but playing soundtracks to films by Renoir and Godard. They are very superb.
Cissy play afro-beat, as i’m sure you know; guitars drums a keys make funk, and 7 hertz make a fucking racket, with violins clarinets and a double bass. The action starts at 9 at The Common Place.
