10th Junect7posterwebjpgedit
11pm – 5am

// Don’t switch on me, I got big plans //

Come Thru is an alternative club night focusing on emerging talent. We look to create inclusive and positive club environments on both sides of the decks. On Saturday June 10th, we’re back at co-op CHUNK on our worst behaviour. We need you to get those tix together, so we can get together…

If you want to, Come Thru.

£5 in advance, plus a £1.10 charitable donation:
Slightly more on the door.

If you’re into what we do at Come Thru, then there’s no doubt you love the work of The Large in some shape or form – even if you don’t realise it. The Large has blessed Brooklyn’s premier dancehall crew Mixpak with her guidance for several years now, running the label arm which has seen the release of powerhouse classics like Vybz Kartel’s “Go Go Wine” and Popcaan’s “Everything Nice” as well as records from the likes of Murlo and Jubilee. You’ll only catch her gracing the spotlight when she’s wreaking havoc on the decks, and she’s an expert when it comes to making people move. We just hope you’re prepared to break a sweat, ‘cause her dembow-laced set’s guaranteed to transform CHUNK into riddim central for this June 10th special.

// FINN \\

Our second guest for the CT sweatfest will also be the second artist we’ve hosted from the Local Action roster. Finn’s “Keep Callin’” was an absolute orbital drop of a track that hit the Boxed scene in 2014, inaugurating multiple releases on Local Action as well as his own, newly-incepted label 2 B Real. Instrumental in NTS’ Manchester wing and playing resident at Chow Down, Finn’s a wizard on the ones-and-twos, going so far as to start his own damn B2B mix series. From grime and ghetto house to garage, footwork and Jersey, there’s no telling what heat Finn will draw for on the night – all that’s certain is it’s gonna get fast and you’re gonna have to make like a Chrysler to cruise to this.

At long last, TAYSTII has earned his way back into Come Thru’s good books enough to be entrusted with another opening set. According to his spokesperson, TAYSTII vehemently denies any and all rumours suggesting he is eager to piss all of that trust away with impatiently-blended club cuts and .zip dumps direct from Clangistan. Both Truants and the CT crew still put up with his nonsense for whatever reason and we hope you have it in your hearts and ears to do so too.

Come Thru co-founders Docterre and Jessie Beware take to the decks for the grand finale, ensuring that you get your fill of bangers and mash-ups for an early Sunday breakfast bonanza. Think irresistible anthems, audacious edits and personal favourites to soundtrack the moments that seal the night. Don’t blink or you’ll miss the brief cameo from the mythic CT super-DJ, summoned only when all crew members are assembled together.

Come Thru aims to be an inclusive and positive club environment.

We will not stand for prejudiced behaviour including (but not restricted to) sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, ableism, ageism, classism and sizeism.

We would ask our guests to reject binaries, respect people’s boundaries and refrain from making assumptions about other guests. We expect our guests to share these ideals and practise them in their lives outside of the event too. We respect the rights of our guests to challenge behaviours which cause themselves or others discomfort.

If you have any issues on the night, please contact the organisers (Harvey, Helena, Jess or Tayyab) and we will work together to seek a solution. This message will be postered up around the venue with pictures of the organisers to help you recognise us. Additionally, you can ask the bouncer, door volunteers or another partygoer to find one of us for you.

By attending Come Thru, you agree to act in accordance to this disclaimer at the night and in our spaces. People who do not adhere to these guidelines may be asked to leave the party.
