Limpe Fuchs is a legendary experimental percussionist, instrument builder and violinist from Germany. In the late 1960s she formed the group Anima Sound who created spontaneous, anti-formalist avant grade performances of wild percussion, vocals and horns. They also pioneered DIY touring, at one stage travelling across Europe on a tractor with stage and mobile home in tow.
Her recent solo performances feature an amazing assortment of wood and granite marimba blocks, skin and bronze drums, resonant metal pendulums and a host of other clanging, clanking homemade instruments.
Rare chance to see her live in the UK, don’t miss this!

Instrument-builder, sound-machine creator from the borderlands between Yorkshire and Lancashire. Sort-of-songs and compositions deftly formed with percussive gizmos, home-made harps, repurposed household objects, warbling synth-lines and controlled feedback.
