PICORE (Zaragoza, Spain)
Formed in 2003 and with close ties to Zaragoza’s squat venue scene via their Arrabato venue/collective, PICORE are doing their bit to keep the spirit of hardcore and the D.I.Y movement alive whilst stretching the parameters and potential of the music. These guys don’t play no straight forward hardcore that’s for sure. Considered, focused heaviness set on repeato makes for an almost trance-like experience yet this music is also technically precise and brutal as fuck. After an awesome set at last years CHINCHILLAFEST we welcome the return of these suave Spanish outlanders. Not to dissimilar to US MAPLE, JESUS LIZARD, THE EX and KING CRIMSON.

HUMANFLY (Leeds, uk)
Brooding, atmospheric metal with hints of psychedelic space rock thrown in for good measure, HUMANFLY pay homage to the underworld whilst simultaneously shaking the pillars of heaven with their custom uplifto-metal sound. Comparisons to Isis, Neurosis, Jesu and Mastodon are totally justified but HUMANFLY’s music transcends these influences, blasting the tired metal formula into outer regions of space.

BEARDS (Leeds, uk)
Leeds very own post-punk, post-prog, new-wave, no-wavers BEARDS will no doubt get the party started with their energetic brand of Skin Graft style noise rock. Just finished recording a new album so I’ve been told…..shweet.

2010 (?)
2010 will wow and mystify with a display of unplanned improvised ‘2D retro futurist tropicalia’ using a few temperamental bits of archaic technology and their powerful space minds.

This gig will start at 8 p.m sharp so don’t dilly dally kids. Get your dinner scoffed down double quick and be sure to get yourself down to the Cardigan Arms bright and early. x x
