calendar  Drag & Drop: Mucky Sailor, Gareth S Brown, Blood Crips

DRAG AND DROP – A Cops & Robbers private party/fundraiser! Please RSVP!

Saturday 16th January at Rock & Roll Circus, Canal Road (just past Farnell on the railway bridge)
10pm-2am, BYOB (there is no booze for sale at D&D)
Entry is free. However, as this is a fundraising event we’ll ask you to donate to the Cops and Robbers fund (£4 recommended).

Come enjoy some non pretentious party fun while acquiring your second brutal hangover of 2010! Three rooms are yours for hanging out/ dancing/ enjoying the sounds of..

MUCKY SAILOR – Dad and Lad wear inappropriately tight clothing and make mental synthy noises with clattering drums and a whole load of noise. Just think: in a parallel universe, the theme tune to Deal Or No Deal sounds like this. Get down the front to see their custom made ship’s wheel synthesiser in action, it really has to be seen to be believed! This is their last show for at least six months so they have promised to party one off..

BLOOD CRIPS are a Real Loser, an Upright and a Broken Arm. Despite existing for less than six months they’re totally in demand at basement shows and houseparties in Leeds due to their quality fuzzed up garage rock. If your booze disappears you should probably check their pockets first.

GARETH S BROWN has previously been known as The Unpleasants (along with a rather foul mouthed monkey) and has been a long-term member of legendary Leeds band Hood too. Gaz has two albums out on Misplaced Music under his actual real name. He makes testy electronic themes for haunted playgrounds, influenced by Eastern European folk music, Phillip Glass, Aphex Twin and the like.

DJing this month is courtesy of the fabulous GMAX display team, who recently wowed a houseparty crowd with a cheeky 90s set featuring amazing and obscure tunes that the world all but forgot! Expect more of the same from the 80s onwards!

Thanks for coming to our second party in November, we covered out costs and raised £132 for C&R.
Assuming we don’t break anything, D&D 4 will occur in the far-off future, on a day known as February 27th.
