DJ DONNA SUMMER aka JASON FORREST
Jason Forrest is an electronic musician and, until recently, DJ on the well respected WFMU station. He has been recording for labels like Irritant, Sonig and Adaadat since 2001. Jason takes on samples from Laurie Anderson, The Who, Supertramp, Steely Dan, Elton John, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Pat Benatar and turns the sounds into insane dance music in the style of his Tigerbeat peers. His live sets are one part party, one part punishing - adrenalin-fuelled, danceable and 100% fun. You’ll hear him yelling excitedly over his tunes, holding the mic with one hand and throwing confetti into your can of Double Dutch with the other. Get hold of ‘Stepping The Fuck Out’, his genius reworking of the Joe Jackson song of (nearly) the same name. Oh yeah, and he’s clocked up half a million downloads (and many more Youtube viewings) for this video for ‘War Photographer’.

+BILGE PUMP
Hopefully Bilge Pump need no introduction. If you’ve never seen them, rest assured, this will be the first of many pleasant eardrum-batterings from Leeds’ resident fucked-up rock heroes. Utterly danceable and weird.
