This March sees the STFU collective roll in to Leeds to put on an a two day festival of elecronic music at The Common Place.
Planned events include workshops on binaural sampling, films and documentaries and over twenty live performances with a artists from all all over the UK. With current electronic music being so diverse, the programme is a reflection of this; drone artists such as Nanosphere Complex and acclaimed minimal techno from DNCN perform alongside precision beat mungers such as Batfinks and Leeds artist Skeski. The event will cover established acts from labels such as Rock Action and Chemikal Underground to up and coming new talents who may be playing their first gig. Highlights will include performances by Leeds' own Random Number and Hands and fingers on Friday. Saturday sees an exploration of live sampling by Model Fighter and a showcase of the Hippocamp net label, underground talents Scrubber Fox, Paperball and Millicent.
