Tired Irie
Signed to Try Harder records the original homes of Foals and Blood Red Shoes, Tired Irie, a Leicester-based four piece, formed in late 2004. ‘Like. Gentle. Men.’ was their debut single back in November 2005.
A band with a bleak and unnerving intensity playing songs made up of twinkling blankets of crystalline guitars, effortlessly accurate vocal interplay and triumphant melodies of uplifting and intangible quality.
Somehow they’re a party band too.

Screeched vocals over largely clean guitars, energetically showcased by a group of obviously talented musicians, is the name of the game. Signed to Big Scary Monsters, new album is out this year.

Appealing, capricious and quintessentially British indie material executed with great flair, brilliantly down-to-earth Northern quips and some elastic instrumental noodling.
